LAKSON BUSINESS SOLUTIONS WINS Qt Portfolio (Qt360) Challenge

Lakson Business Solutions (LBS) becomes the only Company in the Near East region to win the Nokia QT Portfolio Competition. Thousands of developers all around the globe submitted their applications in this challenge out of which only 360 applications were successfully published in the Nokia Store. Being one of the two Software Development Companies in the country to have been nominated by Nokia Pakistan for participation in this global challenge, LBS has delivered yet another unique mobile game application!

The challenge was based on successfully porting Qt-based applications for use on the new Nokia N9. Lakson Business Solutions is one of the first 360 developers who have successfully published their application to Nokia Store for use on the Nokia N9 and will receive $10,000 (USD) from Nokia. The judging criterion was based on the applications’ Quality/ Functionality, Novelty value/Innovativeness, Usability/ Creativity, Uniqueness, Commercial viability/ Market potential.

The mobile game application named “Circus Run” is developed on MeeGo, which is an open source mobile operating system.  LBS claims that this is the first ever application developed on MeeGo in Pakistan. This is a fun and entertaining game for users of all ages. It potrays a circus theme with fanciful layouts which definitely allures one.

It seems like LBS has its hands full with achievements coming in one after the other. Less than a month ago, Lakson Business Solutions won the best Nokia mobile application award in the Go Green category at PASHA ICT awards 2011. This was a unique environment application titled “Save Planet”.
